Conditions were fabulous with 8-10 inches of new snow at Rainy Pass.

For some of this it was the first time we have been on a fat bike. It was all smiles from the start.
For all of us it was the first time we have ridden in the snow! It is surprisingly easy.
We laughed, we worked up a big sweat and we had a fantastic day.
We highly recommend that people give it a try. Again, Salsa Mukluks are available for rent at Methow Cycle and Sport. Two free snow bike demos are planned for December 16 and January 13 on the MVSTA ski trails.
For more information about this year's snow bike program please see our website "Where to Snow Bike" page.

Where is this ride at?!? I'd love to copy this exact ride!
Hi Restless One, sorry for the delayed reply. This ride was up at Rainy Lake in the North Cascades off Highway 20. It would be pretty hard to copy this ride right now, at this time of the year. When we did the ride the pass was still open and we were able to drive to the Rainy Lake turn-out. (however the parking area was snowed in by then). It's only about a 2 mile ride in at most but the 8 inches of fresh snow we had that day made for quite an adventure. It was our first time on the fat bikes and instantly we loved it!
